motel room heater units of fresh air?
I have a small cabin and attic gets quite hot in summer. I have a small window air conditioner, but sweats and causing potential problems around the window sill. I would not a system in my window first, so I wondered how many problems would be to install a motel type unit in the window. Do you need a hole in the wall? Can a DIY accomplish this? Apparently, it would be a little more to it than just plugging in.
I just finished attic out as a teacher and wanted the same. I my research and found 2 IMPORTANT: 1. They are expensive, and 2. They are also expensive third would be pain in the butt to be installed (must be done by HVAC Co.). They are similar to a central a / c with the outdoor unit and the pipe through the walls. I went with a unit in the room of Home Depot and it works very well. I just need a way for the air pulls moisture out of the house. We have created a hose through a window and screen. It comes with a screen cleaner kit patch the hose adapts through to keep the bugs out too. Best part, solved problems 1 and 2
