My hi-fi stereo broken help!?
Hello, I have a JVC MX-D8T and glass fuse blew in, so I went to my local DIY store and told me that to treat a normal fuse inside the stereo that I thought was stupid, but I tried it and the fuse blew. gave me a 3 amp fuse when the glass fuse, said that using 3.15 normal 5-amp fuse I tried because it is bigger and wouldnt blow. But when I tried some CompoNet exploded because I could smell the smoke. Then I went to get a glass fuse Fnac, and put it on the stereo and turned on and appeared to be Workin usual, but generated any audio file. It is not the speaker cable or speakers as I have done several checks with them and other sound equipment working, and now I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The first time the fuse blew glass was his warning that something was wrong. Put a 5 amp fuse in mortal – which sounds as if he might have ended output stage amplifier. It is possible that the headphone jack is still working, though I doubt it. For future reference, never install a fuse higher than the original, but also allow more current than the circuits were designed. I am not familiar with the MX-D8T, so do not know what it will cost. However, the repair is expensive and possibly futile.
