I know how I can make the figure 8 (red / black) speaker cables for a 2.5 mm jack plug .. help?
I know they are both polarities, I know how to configure it, but what we really do not understand is how to connect to, say, an MP3 player or other 2.5mm jack. I have a black whole and red wires, let me know what I have to buy / build in order to make my home theater system for yourself …
You do NOT want to connect directly speaker cables to a power of 2.5 mm to drive your MP3 player! You Smoke that MP3 player in 2 seconds flat! TOO MUCH POWER! Now this is what you find ….. audio outputs using RCA connectors on your stereo system …. Something like the TAPE OUT can easily convert an RCA connector to the connector on the tape 2.5 mm connector for your MP3 ….. After all, your MP3 player is just a recording so that the device anyway ….. ….. Go to Radio Shack, sell an RCA cable to 2.5mm adapter ….. All you need do is verify that you have registration or tape products or an audio output of your stereo ……
