DIY Repair a Hotpoint Washer Dryer WD61 possible?
I have a Hotpoint washer dryer wd61. This weekend when I was in a wash cycle it stopped drainage, so water stays in the drum, etc. although that is beginning to turn. I've tried a couple of times and the pump does not start as if normall does. Now, I took the back and found the bomb look easy to replace. I am covered by warranty parts Hotpoint charged with a total of 90 pounds to come and fix it. I buy the pump direct from Hotpoint 24 pounds. My question is – Is this as easy as it sounds / looks? If water does not drain, will defo be the bomb? All reviews welcome! (Just so you know, I have changed the brushes before washing fairly confident to have a go).
He did it with us once, dismantled the bomb, easy, and finds a coin and finally stuck the needle, remove everything, washing machine worked well. Washer stopped at the outer gate of empty water. Most difficult part of work.
